With all the frenzied overclocking going on around here, I was wondering how much success people are having undervolting their core 2 duos. Has anyone found a particular mobo which is sweet for this purpose? Just how low have people taken their volts? If you've got anything relevant to share, please post away!

yeah i'll test some undervolting in the next few days

one issue i have is that CPUz has a problem reporting vcore if too high or too low.........easytune reports it OK.....but i only realised recently CPUz has an issue

my E6300 CPU is able to bench at 3465MHz with STOCK vcore...limited only by the motherboard so undervolting will be pretty extreme i'd say :)

Stock vcore
Stock MCH volts
Stock FSB volts
Aircooled

Stock heatsink.

Stock clocks. 1.0V vcore. My server (and entertainment pc) so I can't o/c it.

(though obviously I have tried but the ram limits :P)

Fan never goes above 1000rpm.

Can I ask which motherboard you're both using?

dinos22, is stock vcore mean AUTO or you manually set it so that it reads 1.3v in CPU-Z? or does DS3 not droop/undervolt much/any...
