HI guys

I think of buying the 2*1GB crucial ballistix. they do 300mhz on 3-3-3-8 on 2.87 volt. Now does someone have experience with this memory?
I just read that many of these ballistix die fast?? is this true?
With my asus A8N SLI premium motherboard i just can give 2.85 or 2.90 volt. is that to much volt for those crucials?? i dont know what max is that crucial says.(2.8 - 2.9? does somebody knows this).
Should i buy these ones or not? is it possible that they die soon?(i dont want that:( )

:welcome:

you should see which revision they are.

The model that die fast are 16.TD

If the are 16.TD1 or different (you don't want 16.TD) they should survive :p:

Crucial RMA service is horrible. It took almost 2 month to receive 2 kits back (16.TF1 -> newest rev available) (http://simon.webideal.ca/Temp/ballistix%20rfd.JPG)

edit : also, 300 2.87v is a little pushing for 24/7 usage and it was certainly done with a DFI nF4 (I don't think you'll have such good results with an Asus board)

he says he has 16.TD1!! so good?
he has them already running for 6 months on 300mhz and 2.87 volt.
And i want 9*294 for 24/7. he has at 294 the modules just need 2.7 volt plus minus.
normally my asus will handle this?
my asus can do a fsb of 300+. tested!.
so normally i should be safe? i can stay below the 2.8 volt at 294 and my asus can handle that high fsb.
normally if i stay around 2.7 it's safe?
some opinions?
thank you Supertim0r for your answer.:D

16.td1 should be fine but i wouldn't expect 280-300fsb with an asus board (you really need a DFI nF4)

why do you think i can't get it?
i tested it and my fsb can easily do 300 and did superpi 321M all 3Dmark,...
my mobo can give enauph volt..
(sorry if i'm noob but i just dont undestand:) )
and if i look some reviews like here:
http://www.viperlair.com/reviews/cpu_mobo/asus/amd/s939/a8nslipr/p4.shtml
they also get an fsb of 300, so with this bord it's possible.(it was the most high-end asus got on the moment i bought it)
now is my guestion : (last one :), if i can get an fsb on 300 on my mobo (100% stable here) , will this also go with my memory or can there become other problems if my memory runs 1:1??

you sure the TD1 doesn't have the dying problem.
I did some research and many guys have dead ones to(TD1:( )
