Xtreme VC server

It's called Xtr3m3 in the Vietcong online demo (http://www.vietcong-game.com).
It's running VC_0.98 patch (latest one) And the server is an Amd Athalon 950 @1.0, WinXP pro, 256mg Crucial.
It should be up 24/7.

Basically it was set up for local friends, but anyone is welcome of course, and we need more players. ;)

Not that I'm aware of. I'm going to start an =XS= clan soon. I'll change the server over to a tryout server and get a clan going sometime.

Well 90% of the players say it's a good server and they are getting no lag at all. And I've never seen a bit of lag in it.

So I think those 10% that complain are on dial-up.:rolleyes:

i meant cos were all OCed to the Xtreme! lol, bet the server is OCed too, although connection will matter the most. :D

I've only played about 4 hrs of the full game, but it's the only demo I've spent more than an hour or so on. And the actual game itself has excellent graphics, storyline, and gameplay.

I gave Max Payne a 9.5, and I like this game much better.;)

That is wierd dog, I have people in it right now. And it's been up 24/7 for a while now.
It only goes down for lightening storms and upgrades. Wich kinda sucks because it's almost heavy lightening season here...:rolleyes:

They only had 2 for the demo. You have to have the latest patch to run it. .098 I believe is what you need.

It's not a firewall dude. You're running ver 0.96. You haveto be on version 0.98 (that's what the server is running) Get it here (http://www.vietcong-game.com/us/downloads.html).
Otherwise they are incompatible.

The game is so h4x! Actually, so many people have already hacked it to death with players running around with entire Palm trees as a helmet. There also seems to be h4x for god mode, and see through the wall shtuff. :(

If you were eagerly awaiting a Vietnam based shooter and can't wait for anything in the future, then I'd say you could get away with buying Vietcong. There are some good levels in here and the environment is conducive to chaos and scary battles. But unless you have a supercomputer, you're going to have performance problems that can make the game almost unplayable at times. It's frustrating as is with guys shooting from bushes so you can't see anything except for the muzzle fire. Vietnam was hell, and it's translated well in that way, but unfortunately it just doesn't pass muster leaving us with an average game that could have been great.

Like the reviewer said, it is difficult to see people at first, but you have to adjust to the game. Stop running around non stop, (like most games) crouch down, and watch for movement. That is much more realistic to what Vietnam might have been like.

I have no problem running the game on a GF4 Ti4200, at 1024/768 @ 75 hz

That's what I thought, he was mad because it's difficult to see the VC. Well duh. Did he think they all wore bright orange and stood all in line out in the open??

I'm running it on the specs in my sig, and my fps stays around 45 or so all the time. and I run at 1280/1024 85Htz.

i have no problem running it on a geforceII 32mg and on a 600 duron yep i smoked my 1700 it be dead and on smizs keychain lol, but the game is good sometimes frustrating when you get sniped to §§§§
