I've been using SketchUp for awhile now (just screwing with it), but the one thing I just can't figure out is how I can select a certain area and just get rid of it (creating holes in the layer). For those who use it, how do you do this? Thanks.
Also is this the right section? >.>

give an example please
If you're trying to make a hole in a block, draw a circle or something on it's face and use the push/pull to pull the face to the back side. This would create a circular hole in the block.
If you want to delete a shape, double click on it and press delete. (all the edges and faces should be blue/have blue spots)
Yes, this is the right section

Lets say this is what i'm editing:

Lets say I want to put a CD Drive in, so I want to get rid of one of the plates.
(Best example I could think off :p)

If the front panel is just a flat plane (I don't see any depth to it in the picture), then just select the the plate (it should have blue dots on it, and hit delete

And I tried that, but after that it just acts like it's not there and when I try to select it it gets the whole face (except the other plates).
