Hi, it depends on if and how much you're going to OC:

If you are going to use a 965 board(like the ds3) and going to OC,
I would say get this (http://www.tankguys.biz/ddr2-3338-p-1676.html?osCsid=2baf75b33c09b6512ec70e64a82afd7a) TeamGroup ram, OC'ing to ddr2 800(and higher) isn't for sure,
but is highly likely, if you don't know already, ram timings don't make much
of a difference (http://www.tbreak.com/reviews/article.php?cat=cpu&id=456&pagenumber=2) as far as Conroe is concerned, bandwidth takes precedent.

If no OC on 965 board, get this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231084) GSkill ram or this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145590) Corsair ram

IF OC on 975 board the GSkill HZ (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231065) is good
If no OC on 975 board, the GSkill ZX (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231073) will do, or the
previously mentioned CL5 GSkill Ram (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231084)(965 board, no OC)

If you are concerned about 965 board compatibility, you can read
up about that here (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=109340).

Edit: oops, missed the "+Asus p5w" part of your title :D heeh,
i'll leave the 965 stuff in case it can help anyone else
