My friends mom needs a machine, for email/internet and such and it would be best if they just got an all in one mobo
what it needs
onboard sound
onboard nic
onboard video
INEXPENSIVE AS POSSIBLE :)
Preferably an AMD solution

Depends what you consider inexpensive, I would look into the Epox 8rga, or the NF7-M, not sure on availability of the epo yet, but the NF7-M is available for around 120, both use GF4 mx for Vid...

Didn't you say it was for your friend's mom? Is she going to overclock?
I am assuming not.

Check out this board, it is $70 on newegg and I have used it twice before in building systems without problems. It even has good onboard sound.

Like bengreen79 points out the Asus A7N266 is a good choice too, just depends on what kind of budget your friends mom is on.

This is true, I guess I figure even if i wasn't going to overclock 50 or so more bux is not alot when it comes to a computer, and considering bang for the buck i couldn't imagine buying anything less..... the A7N266 isn't bad but it is approaching the end of its life....
Even when I toss a budget machine together for a friend I try to build with some options for the future..... Personally my Idea of a budget machine would be the Epox or Abit and a 60ish dollar 1700+ inexpensive, yet powerfull enough to be a workable machine for quite a while.... clock it at the default, or run it up to 2+ ghz...

Another vote for the A7N266. I put one together for my Mom back around Christmas. Cheap, stable and plenty of all around performance for email, solitaire and her uncanny ability to drag every file, folder and dll to the desktop. A perfect "Mom" board.
$70 at Newegg w/free shipping.
