Like a dumbarse, i broke a piece off of my 7800GT. I'm not sure if it's a capacitor, diode, transistor. :( . Can anyone tell me what it is and where i can get this one? Here are the pics of it. :slap:

Hi,
It is aluminium electrolytic capacitor. I am not sure about model (series), but at least capacitance value should be 100 uF. Voltage rating is not clear, so it is better to get high value e.g. 16 V (there should not exist higher voltage than 12 V in VGA). You should prefer a low-ESR model (!!).
You can obtain suitable capacitor from any electronic having proper selection. Please note that you possibly also could use a leaded capacitor since there are holes middle and those seem to be shorted to solder pads (?).

yeah, its deffiently a capacitor.
you should be fine to run the card untill you get a replacement. if you provide the lettering on the top i could give you better idea of what specs you need for replacement.
but given its size and capacitance id say it was a 100uf 16v capacitor.
i did some looking and was able to find the manufacturer.
what character is the middle one? is it a T or a Y?

I broke one them of my 6800ltra agp just as I was removing it to fit new card cause its so damn tight as dual slot in rear of case, I managed to track down (UK) part same specs little slimmer dia though and soldered it on, they normally dont sit on board but sit on a small plastic flap with legs bent through holes in plastic flap.
