I just got my Asus A7n8X Deluxe last week and i have to say this is the best board that i have used since i started messing with computers. this board made it so easy to overclock my xp 2100 without having to unlock anything. this is exactly what i wanted from a board. i have overclocked this cpu past 2ghz and it is stable as all hell. and the temps are fine with air cooling.

i read alot of bad things about this board and was afraid to update the bios due to alot of negative post's about this. but i did a bios update and my system is still running great.:)

i will post if there is any thing that goes wrong with this board down the road. but so far so good.

I am extremely happy with this board and am glad i took the chance on it.

well i just thought i would post this so others can see the good side to this board. :D

take care,

i have mixed feelings on the a7n8x.
its really stable and fool proof, besides the bios scrambles.
it also has horrible bios voltage options.
easy to use but hard to be extream with unless heavily modded.

ive not had a single problem with the one i own,but mainly couse i cant really put a whoopen on my cpu with it either.bios is way to weak.
for 95% of the folks even in ocing land it will be a great mobo no doubt.for the 5% who need much more than it has to offer its a pain in the patooty!

id still give it a 9 out of 10 tho.

Glad to hear your happy with it, Thats all that matters... Personally I'd like to know how many of the Nforce2 related problems are actually caused by extreme tweaking, and how many are actual problems.....

I've been tweaking my A7N8X for a while now and I'm starting to like it a lot, almost as much as my 8RDA+. I did the vdd / vmem mods and got it stable enough for sandra benchmarks at 234fsb with 5-2-2 cas2 memory timings (dual-channel). This is with an A2 stepping NB. It hit 3600MB in the sandra memory test.... and then I tried 235fsb and trashed the hdd. Next up for me is the vcore mod (I did it before but removed it). If I can get it stable around 2.1v I should be able to run some good benchies with my xp3000/prometia.

It's a good all-around board.

I love my A7N8X-DX, stable and never has a single problem with it over the last 4 months. Its probably the "best" choice for an everyday pc.

BUT the NF7-S is such a hot OCing board ! hehe
