Does anyone know what Gigabyte used to stick their heatsinks to their SB and NB? Im sitting here and I cant seem to get them off, and yes, I did remove the prongs under the board.

So I just need to add heat? Well since the rest of my computer is with UPS, I guess I can just blowdry it, no?

I would recommend you wait till your parts arrive and power up the board to make sure everything is running smoothly before taking stuff apart on it.

Nah, just do it. :) I've already lapped my SB and mounted new NB copper cooling - getting ready.

Mine twisted right off. There is a thick dried grey rubbery pasty shyzzle all of the place under 'em.

Good point, dont assume the board actually works. You wont be able to warranty claim after you mess with heatsinks, etc

Iam not sure I'd be happy turning the heat on everything surrounding the bridge, only the bridges themselves should get that hot
