how is it posssible for the ds3 to be better than the dq6?

p5b deluxe can still turn out to be a good premium 965p board

Ignore NN. Most of us do. He's just pissed that AMD can't keep up w/ Intel till K8L.

right, because a ~700 MHz overclock wouldn't be impressive on an AMD chip, much less an intel chip that's more efficient per clock.... oh wait.:slapass:

that is correct. Because heaven knows a 3000+ should hit atleast 2.8Ghz (a 1,000 Mhz increase) :stick:

I must be an exception, because my old 3000+ couldn't hit 2.7GHz with any type of voltage. My Opteron on the other hand could do 2.8GHz easily.

Come on nn don´t cheat yourself. 3000+ average is 2650, 2800MHz stable on air is a pretty nice stepping.

oh, come on, at least compare a Dual Core and be even....
and if we're going by that, D 805's have a 2.33 GHz overclock on air.... doesn't change the fact that both are still crushed by Core 2 Duos...

he does kinda have a point here...

to be honest lets be very very basic. We have absolutely NO idea how the average Conroe will overclock. Thus this arguement really means nothing. Atleast not until you can find conroe on Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?N=50001157+2010340343+1051707842&Submit=ENE&Subcategory=343)

What another load of NN garbage. :slap:

The intel forum is FULL of B2 retail stepping Core 2 chips and there isn't a BAD overclocker among them. The guys not hitting 3GHz are only limited by FSB on their boards. Guys with decent boards (DS3, P5W DH) are easily hitting 3.4-3.5GHz ON AIR with NO EXTRA VOLTS.
add that to the fact that newegg is about 4 months behind the curve...

I had 4 3000+ and only one can benchable at 2.8Ghz , 3 could only @ 2.6 or 2.4Ghz max :nono:

My early winchester could do 2.6Ghz stable at 1.56V. SS on 2.7Ghz with 1.6V.
My 165 can do 2.7Ghz stable on 1.6V. SS on 2.85 with 1.65.

All 6300 does 3Ghz and if they dont its the Motherboard.

Face it, Conroe owns in every market except MAYBE low end dual core, depending on the lowbie performance, until K8L at earliest.
