My TT120 will be here this week and I was wondering... Are there any better fans tahn stock to go with this beast?

I've read some reviews, but they're all with the STOCK fan. I should have my Antec Tricool 120x25mm fans spare soon as I'm getting some Sanyo-Denki 120x38mm fans to replace them in my case.

I was wondering would the Tricool's be better? Should I just stick with stock? Or are there some ĂśBER fans out there for this thing?

Links would be cool too ;)

I was gonna leave at stock, but this place is just great for discussion, so may as well use any opinons / experience of you guys!

If you want the internal install...gotta make sure it's a 120x120x25 fan.

The best 120x25mm fan I've ever used is a 105CFM YS Tech fan that's no longer made :(

Silverstone has one that's over 100CFM and 25mm thick, IIRC, but I'm not sure about that.

You just bought them. lol.

Those thick(38mm), ugly, black fans will work much better than the bling from antec.

If you want silent. Go with Silverstone, Yate Loons, YS Tech, etc.

I've got the Denki's to replace the stock Antec ones. I'm happy with them. I'm not one of those who wants complete silence. As long as my machine doesn't sound like Prodrive's windtunnel I'm not bothered.

I'm not just gonna chuck the Antec's out after I replace them, so I was hoping they may be better than the stock TT120 fan. But having said that, it's only a few quid for a decent fan. Looks like I'll have a couple of 120mm fans to flog on or put inside another case.

Some of my results with the Tuniq. (http://forum.abit-usa.com/showthread.php?t=103462&page=3)

I found the included fan to overall be great--scales nicely with the included rheostat. Really no need for a lower speed fan, as it can be dialed down to practically inaudible.

Sounds like you are looking for performance tho. My general testing felt to me like the thing would in fact perform better with a stronger fan. But the included stock fan at full volts is pretty strong, probably in the 80cfm range. Not that many 120x25s that push more than that, and unfortunately I didn't have any around to test with.

Just caught lucky I guess. lol.

I've ordered 2 to be safe. So I'll be getting rid of my 2nd one. I was offering it to someone, but he's not got back to me.

I should have said "SHOULD" be arrving this week as with these things, I won't hold my breath.

If you are looking for 120x38 mm fans in the UK, check out the http://www.dorothybradbury.co.uk/. It was the only place I found in the UK that carry them.

Purchased three Panasonic-Minebea NMB-MAT FB-120-M1A fans last spring. Excellent service. They offer an option of either 4-pin standard molex connection prewired for 7V (5+12) or a standard 3-pin motherboard connection for PWM control. If you want to run them on 12 via molex connection, they sell those seperately too (look towards bottom of page).

Very powerfull fans. Not quite at 12V but pushes lots of air at 7V, much better than the average 120x25 mm fan at 12V ! They also sell the FB-L1A if you want less noise.

And buy some finger guards for these. Will cause injury if touched.

I'll look into that now. I'm gonna have a couple of Antec fans spare after this!
