hi, been a long time lurker on these forums, i keep reading about conroe. my last system was a p4 at 3.2ghz. im making the switch to conroe and im wondering if itll be a noticeable improvement, the 6400 is clocked at 2.13 the p4 3.2, will performance be about the same or will the 6400 ownz the p4 at stock speeds?considered the 6600 but i rather get a sound car with the money ill save, also i never overclocked before, but i have a BT and want to get a slight bump in speed, how hi can i go on a 6400 without changing the volts? i have 2 gigs of corsair ddr800 and plan to get the asus p5b deluxe
thx in advance

you'll see a big jump in performance even at stock speeds
with stock volts, you should be able to overclock to 2.6GHz no problem, probably closer to 3GHz

the e6300 will beat my oced p4 at stock speeds in everything. enough said.
Conore is twice as fast per clock as netburst and twice more for dual core so 4x faster in some things. Hell yea you'll see a difference.:fact:
