Lol @ Rise of Nations not working :)
IMHO that's pretty good for this stage of development though. For a total driver model and kernal overhaul, it's very backwards compatible

I reckon that should you use the stand-alone Punkbuster updater, you could get BF2 to work. Saves you the hassle of tinkering with those html files and awkward installation process, or updating through the game itself.

I know I can't live without it anymore. (also had trouble with PB on Win2K & XP)

Fallout 2 worked fine, but Baldurs Gate 2 didn't? Shucks!
That's now officially my biggest reason to keep XP on one of my machines! :p:

it doesnt matter, 2gb should be enough for BF2. theres no way you can pass it off as a quality made game. youre kidding yourself otherwise. EA chopped your DICE off when you bought that game

~Mike
ddr500 corsair its stupid to think is because the mem is slow.... its a POS game with bad programing, the BW generated by DDR isnt used in 939 less in am2 so forget about it
everyone knows and accepts the game is full bug unless of course you work in the programing team and you are trying to justify the mediocre work they done....

That's foolish, on 939 there's no noticable difference in gaming between 150mhz and 300mhz ram..

Inferior 939.... time to upgrade to AM2
ummm... you're still inferior with AM2 because of Conroe :stick:
(while AMD's K8L, 4x4, AM3 CPUs are not out and performance is unknown, of course)
AM2's performance gain over s939 isnt that great either, so its not like you're WAY superior :nono:
