Hi

I am interested in buying a D-TEK MP-05 Pro LE to cool my future Allendale.

But after looking at some pictures of both the asus p5w dh and gigabyte Ds-3 it seems like the mounting thing on this cpu wont fit these motherboards because of the Mosfets by the CPU socket.

Here is what i mean, the mosfets i mean is in the red box on the pics
Ds-3 :http://peecee.dk/?id=49244
P5W DH : http://peecee.dk/?id=49245

And here is the block mounted on a Abit ic-7 board:

The block by itself:

Can anyone confirm this ?

Thank you ;)

almost all LGA 775 socket have capacitors and/or mosfets placed around the socket

as long as the manufacturer (asus or gigabyte in this case) followed the correct spec with component height limits and the LGA775 "keep out zone" you should have no problems with a MP-05

ok. so you say that se MP-05's mountig kit is placed so high that those mosfets will fit under it?

I guaruntee you that it will fit on the P5W DH. Unless of course they have achanged the board layout in the past 3 weeks.
