I'm thinking of getting the 80mm to 120mm fan adapters. I got room for two 80mm fans in the back and 2 80mm in the front. I wasn't really thinking of upgrading these things but I just moved my computer in front of an AC vent and my temps have dropped dramatically (26c idle and 34 load, went down by like 10c). Is it worth the extra $80 for 4x 80mm-->120mm fan adapters and 4x vantec fans?

I'm planning on purchasing this stuff from SVC, if anyone knows cheaper then please let me know. Also, money is somewhat an issue (could be used toward sli setup, if not then sli will have to wait an extra month)

I only have 1 fan in the back and 1 fan in the front right now. So i'm assuming this'll give me another pretty decent temp drop. Would it be worth it though? upgrading to a 4400+

whaaaaA??? heh i live near SVC, sometimes i just go there and buy stuff

anyway, no i say go with 120mm fan, but if CFM adds up that 80mm fan is higher CFM, go with 80mm fan

I only got 1 80mm fan right now. Noise is also a factor in my choosing of the fans =/. I keep the computer in my bedroom. I'm just not sure if the extra 60-100cfm will drop temps that much lower.

I'm confused as to how you plan on fitting 4x120 fans with adaptors in the same space of 4x80mm fans?

Remember also, as a general rule adaptors only work well in the suck. A typical 120mm fan pushing into a 120->80mm adaptor will probably perform worse than the standard 80mm fan because of the back pressure.
