Hey guys, I am thinking of making a switch to a T-line to free up my 5.25 bay for RAID raptors. I have a few questions...

I know the T-Line is right before the pump, but does it need to extend past the highest point in the loop? (check attachments for crappy illustration)

How high does it need to be before the pump sucks air? What keeps the water from pumping its way up the T-line? (just trying to understand the mechanics behind it)

I know it works, but trying to figure out how...

Thanks

Nope, relative height dont matter as the rest of the loop is closed. You'd want a long t-line though, because its a pain to fill/bleed with a short one, as you have to keep refilling.

Mine is about 50cm/20" long.

I found this (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=107503) thread and particularly post #31 very helpful regarding T lines. I'm going to do the "T Line Trick" myself when I dismantle my loop to put in regular water and the EK barbs.

I knew we'd find the formula eventually for the e-penis.

e-penis = the length of your T-Line.
