Well, I'm in a right pickle.
My AQ 50z pump with the fixed black barbs (1/2" version) is now useless as one of the barbs has snapped. Is there any place I can get a replacement front part of the pump, you know the black bit that screws into the pump? If not it would appear then, that the pump is dead, even though it still works fine.
Can anyone help me - or even give me the manufacturer's email address so I can contact them directly?
Here is what has happened:

Have you tried contacting the place you bought it from? I'd start there first.

Too late for that, it's out of warranty. I have actually contacted them, they did say they would look into it and haven't heard diddly squat since. I tried a repair with some Epoxy but because the plastic is slightly shiny, the epoxy couldn't hold it together.
i could take it of your hands cheap!:D

Most epoxies wont bond that stuff. Araldite is the only stuff ive found so far that will bond to poly plastics.

I'm sure you could! But for now, it seems like a simple enough fix...I'm going to try and get this sorted. I can't believe something so simple is such a big problem.
Thanks for that creidiki, I'll look into it. I know the limitations of Epoxy but I had some spare so thought I'd give it a go...
Do you know which Araldite compund I would need by any chance? There are so many for different applications but without knowing the exact composition of this barb, I'm not sure which one to use.

Right, an update. I emailed Cooltechnica about it and they sell the part for $15 = ~ £8. GREAT! However, I asked them to place an order and it has now been one week. I followed up with another email which has gone unanswered. Anyone have any experience with them? I know they are big and all, but all I want to do is spend money with them! Answer me dammit!

American boarder = 2 weeks for any shipping I have learnt if you order from america and are not in america 3-5 dayd then becomes 3-5weeks, so realy you should have expected delays.

No, sorry, I wasn't clear - it's not even shipping. I'm trying to pay for the damn thing and organise the order - which they won't let me do. 2 separate emails and nothing...
I know how long shipping takes - I've got 2 things on the way into the UK from the US and Canada at the moment. I'm trying to pay and give my details but no-one seems interested.

Ah, perhaps a system issue, thees things happen, only thing one can do when dealing with people on-line is to be patient
(FYI From Canada aut to be rather fast I got some procs from the UK in 3 days!)

We are efficient :) - although damn expensive! :( I buy from you guys and get to double my money - then get screwed on tax/customs. Still works out cheaper but sometimes not worth the hassle.
Anyway, I contacted Dtekcustoms.com and they are trying to get Cooltechnica to send the part out too. A very helpful chap in their buying department said he was also having trouble dealing with them at the minute so perhaps they are exceedingly busy.

Ya Duties are the pain in the rear, but even with them I still come out ahead when ordering from the US, it's a hobby to stupidly jack the price up on any item in BC so cheaper ordering from around the globe.

am also having similar issues with cooltech, very slow part arrival and its been almost a month since i've order them 3/8barbs and still not shipping...
takes 2weeks to verify international card validity from them(already posted in my next billing statement)
then emailed me part backordered on the 3rd week.
then now 4th week still no item, following up email again... sigh...

I'm paying with Paypal so it should be no problem for card clearance. If they don't use that, I'll just use my dad's American Express for ease of use.
