Mounting a DDC???

Hey guys,

In preparation for the arivial of my DIY modded MCP350/DDC, I am trying to plan how to mount the pump...

Does it have holes to bolt it down like a D4/D5??? Basically, what are my options?

let it sit on some foam on the bottom of the case!

try that gel stuff from petras works good for my pump

creidiki said it will melt if it gets to hot i assume that was with his rd 30, the ddc wont put out that much heat

Yes, dont bolt down pumps, no point.

They dont go anywhere anyway, and youre only transmitting all the vibrations to your case

my stacker is fully loaded and weighs about 60-70 lbs the only place i move it is down stairs to blow the dust out of it twice a month, for an old fart like me thats plenty of moving

I use it under my D5 (which just sits on it) and I have been VERY impressed with it. :toast:

With my D5, I hard mounted it to the case. However, I used rubber isolation mounts on both the pump mounting plate, and the plate that was then mounted in the case.

For a DDC, I don't think vibration will be much of an issue either. Some double stick foam padding will anchor it nicely, as well as isolate it.

Mine's just kind of... hanging there. It hangs off the tubing from the reservoir to the radiator.

well I just ordered some of petra stuff.... Is it sticky or is it just a gel? Will I stick it to the bottom of my case and stick the pump on it or will I set it on the bottom of the case and set my pump on it?

the second you said. its soft rubbery stuff, the pump wont be going anywhere.

you can use some double-sided tape if youre paranoid.

or velcro is what i used gave me a small amount of room for adjustment
