Well, I redid my loop today with a tline. I turn the computer on and the pump starts sucking, but the Tline isn't emptying, Finally i squeeze the other line into the pump, and it starts going down. However, it's making a really loud vibration type noise, which comes and goes. By loud I mean you can hear it down the hallway faintly. It still pumps, not sure if just as powerfully, but I have no way to guage that. Any ideas?

sounds like air in the line. take the case for a turn or 2 while running to get the air moving and perge it out.

Did you purge the loop before you started the pump up?

Purge as in empty the water? If so i'm not sure all of it was out.

When I first filled my loop via T line, the pump made loud noises. Turned out it was all air in the line.
It helped to turn the pump on and then off before the tline was empty and started sucking air.
It actually amazed me how long it took to get all the air out. :) It seemed like every time I was 'finished' bleeding it...the rad would burp out another air bubble!
But once all the air was gone, no more noises.

Thanks for the help guys. Last time I filled with a res, the pump was loud during bleeding, but not like this :\ that's why I'm pretty worried. It is vibrating quite a bit.

Really "roll" you case around with the pump running to bleed the air out. I am still thinking it sounds like a air pocket in the pump.
GL and let us know what happens.

With my D5 I have to tilt the pump and rad multiple times to get the air pockets out.

I had to do the 'case roll' too...gently of course. ;)

Ok well the case has now done about 6 flips and 5 360's. Still super loud and vibrating really hard. I don't know what to do :\. It also sat running overnight.

I think that I would drain my loop, open the pump and inspect the impeller for damage. If you ran the pump for any period of time when it was air locked it is poosible that damage occured. JMO

Yea, that is what I'm probably going to do. If it is damaged is there any way to repair it? If not I'll be needing a new one :\, best get to 100 posts soon for the fs/ft haha

No probably about it. If you have broken pieces in the loop it will clog your block and then you have to take that apart also. If you don't burn up your cpu before you find the problem.
Edit: BTW I will not post replys to you on the [H] also. One forum is plenty.:stick:

I didn't ask for you to post in both, I don't see the problem with throwing it out there over there to grab a wider knowledge base? Thank you a lot for all of the help. The pump is still vibrating more than usual, but I've situated it in a spot where it can't be heard over the fans most of the time. I will soon replace it when I get the money. For now it works, does anyone see a problem with this?

You may not need a new pump. You need to drain the loop and inspect the pump before it fails when you are not baby sitting it and burns your house down.
Is it to hard to drain or you just don't think it is worth it? What am I missing
And I was just poken at you on the 2 forum thing. Calm bud.

I'm seriously calm, really no reason to get mad here.

Well thanks for all of the help. I don't really want to open the pump up as I don't know what I'm doing. I think I'm just going to order a new one and sell this one discounted to someone who knows what they are doing.
Thanks again everyone.

Ok, I took it apart, I couldn't see anything wrong with it at all. What am I looking for? One of the little blades is maybe 1 mm or so metal as if the black came off a tiny bit. Other than that I have no idea what could be causing this. What should I be looking for?

Is it still apart or did you put it back together? If so, is there any change in its vibration?

take well lite photos of every thing and post it.
IE top, bottom, and a 4 side views of the impeller one photo for every 90 degree turn of the side =4 turns = 4 photos.
