Does anybody have them in stock? I decided to get a second shroud for my push/pull setup but can't find one.

Like crack to a 12 stepper  Stay out of the chiller/phase section at all costs!!!

Back on topic:
Put a post up in the WTB section. Might be some one with an extra waiting for you to post it.

Hiya,

Been thinking about push/pull... Would it be equivalent (in CFM terms) to having two fans stuck together (i.e series) in pull? See this link (http://www.nmbtech.com/html/fans/engineering/engineering_101.html#measuring).

Three pairs of fans in series might be better for you? Maintaining "quasi-laminar" flow on the intake side of the rad - as opposed to push/pull.

2 fans stuck together would be pretty noisy!

Have you tried it? If you use a neoprene gasket between them to kill vibration... Or do you mean air turbulence?

fans in series have the same peak CFM as a single fan. Youre increasing the static pressure, which matters very little in modern silent radiators.

it matters not at all in PA...

as to pull-pull, there is a problem related to loss of efficiency viz. the turbuilence from the 1st greatly decreasing the efficiency of the 2nd one, but the only way to know for sure is to try it.

keeping in mind that on BIP/MCR/PA, push-pull doesent make any difference whatsoever until youre seriously undervolted.

I am already planning the chiller to go into my large crawlspace so the heat from the hermetic compressor will not add to my room's ambient load. I will run the insulated supply and return lines up through the floor. I will need some "full flow" ball valves for a removable connection. I think a little tube in shell heat exchanger should fit in the UFO.

A nice little R-12 chiller should do the trick! ;) :woot:

I took creidiki's and Radical_53's advice and removed my push fans and my temps are the same if not a little better.

Thanks guys! :toast:

actualy i've toyed with the stacking thing, it works. i took...~12-16 120mm fans out of some old hard drive farms and slapped em all together. you put moderately lower cfm fans in the middle(about 1/4 of the total # of fans) and it's like a jet turbine :). took me a lot of fans but they were pretty old and the max ones did ~60cfm.
