Scythe Ninja+ and run it passive if you got good case air circulation if not use the included silent 120mm fan.

ninja is not the best - what about vanessa L-type, it is 1 of the best

Ninja is for silence. With what it looks like the fins are densely packed. If you want more performance you'll need to get the tuniq. The vanessa isn't great.

Thermalright Ultra 120, SI-128. Thermaltake Big Typhoon (VX if u can find it). Sycthe Ninja or Mine. Tuniq Tower 120 (is the best, but none until mid-late Aug). That about covers it .. each has their own +/-'s find a couple reviews and you should be fine.

I'd say the Tuniq Tower is the best out there right now. It beats out the Scythe Mine and Thermalright SI-128 by 1-3C. Then all of the others trail 1-3C behind the Mine and SI-128. Different heatsinks perform differently under different circumstances, however, so it's not really possible to say which will provide the best performance in your particular situation. I would personally get the SI-128 because it's easy to find and works very well. Then again, the Scythe Ninja is about $20 less and has performance that's very close...it's really all up to you. If budget is not limit, get an SI-128 or Tuniq Tower 120.

My Ninja, with its stock 120mm fan, cools my hot 805 (oc'ed to 3600) to 38 C idle and 51 load (on both cores) - if that's not good for an aircooler, I don't know what is.

Buy Ninja first (it's cheap enough) and then, if you still want more performance get the Tuniq Tower (the best aircooler in existance, bar none) after it becomes available again, sometime in August. That's what I would do if I wasn't going water for my Conroe. :toast:

I had the Ninja on my old desktop with my Opteron 165 at 1.52 volts. My new conroe will be cooled by the scythe mine. 34$ free ship from newegg.

I say go for the Tuniq Tower.

Next comes the Noctuna-120(if that's spelled right), and the Big Typhoon, either revision.

The new TT-BT should have gone 140mm and 4/8pipes, now that would be sweet with a TT 140mm SilentCat. :)

Well considering that there are very few 140mm fans out there making 140mm HS' wouldn't sell well. Also there is very minimal gains going from 120mm - 140mm fans, so it would be pretty pointless. :toast:

The gains would be plenty... Especially because of the silence.

A ninja or Zalman 9500 will take care of your cooling needs well.

I've got a ninja w/ a tt 120mm fan (blue LED 115cfm or something) and it cools my connie to around 36c at 1.3v and 48load. good for the $$

If you can find a tuniq get that tho!!!!
