One of the hard drives I use in my PC is a Seagate 7200.9 that's about 6 months old or so. A few days ago I had the opportunity to pick up a brand new 7200.9 of the same size (now in RAID 0), but as I just noticed yesterday it's only about 3/4 as tall and I'm wondering if anyone happens to know what there is to account for that size difference? Even stranger, this newer drive also sports a slightly earlier firmware version and comes with jumpers enabled by default to allow ONLY SATA 1 speeds (unlike my older 7200.9, which came with no jumpers... which is this series' way of allowing SATA II speeds).
