I think they are micron d9dcn?
I've got a conroe 6500es and gigabyte DS3 already to pair them with.
Previous memory was kingmax ddr533 which wont clock at all. Surely got to be better than what i've got?
PC2-4200 ?
I really hope for you it will clock high.. Under 5300 isn't recommended for Conroe..
You will have 0 room for overclocking.
but again, for $35, what do you expect ?

It isnt about the rating, its about the chips...?

Its not all about the rating. They aren't going to put high quality chips on budget memory. For example, you didn't find BH-5 on PC2700 sticks.

Ok...fine...you didn't find BH-5 on PC2100. Happy? :D.
You get my point though...its more rare to find good chips on budget memory than to find good chips on overclocking memory.

I am using those same DDR PC4200 533 Micron (2x1GB) with D9s along with Team Xtreem PC5300 667 2X512MB D9s. I havn't tried overclocking because of my crappy mATX board, but I know the team Xtreem stuff is very good for OC. I expect the micron to be good too :).

Thanks, so it is the same stuff they use on the team xtreme memory?
I was going to get some but i couldnt find it in the UK, so i saw this on ebay and thought i'd take a chance.
Any ideas on ram timings or volts i should use?
Im a noob at ram timings on ddr2, but im currently using 2.2volts.
Also do i need to cool this ram with air or what? i am at the moment but i havent seen if it gets hot without
So many questions, i hope someone can answer atlease one :toast:
Thanks,

No its not the same. Both are D9, but different types of D9 (Im pretty sure).
As for the ram timing and voltages, I havn't really played around with this ram yet, so I will tell you once I get my conroe + mobo soon. My ram is simply aircooled, no heatspreaders. My placeholder motherboard right now is a big POS and won't even let me correctly chance ram timings or voltages :slapass:

What is your FSB? The 6500 has a 9X multi right?
9x370ish? Pretty impressive for PC4300.

Damn, thats great news. This means I don't need to buy a second 1 gb Team Xtreem kit. 400 should be plenty for my 6700. Also are you having any heat problems due to the fact that you don't have heatspreaders?
