i don't know about 2.5 watts but anything that tiny can't be very powerful, not to mention if you used a standard soda can you'd get almost no thermal conductance between the soda and the peltier

I agree, cool device, but I don't think it's actually useable in a practical sense, in other words a gimmick device.
