So I have a bunch of pictures i'm doing some post-processing on to make a photo CD, since I have no better way to share them.

Now when I open each one I have the option to use the embedded profile (which looks better), or discard the profile (which looks worse).

I did a test, and performed the same things to the same picture twice, only on one of them I used the embedded profile, and one I did not. On the one that I kept the embedded profile, the color was better, and the sky noticeably bluer.

I uploaded both of them to my webspace to look at the difference, and they both look the same. They also look the same when viewing them in Windows. The only time you see the difference is in Photoshop.

Is there a way to keep this color outside of the program? It doesn't seem to save, and I want everyone to see it this way when I send out the CD's.

Here is the difference. Two images individually:

Here is how it looks in Photoshop:

Is there anything I can do to keep the color (the one on the left)?

What's the embedded profile that you're using?

It's off the digital camera.

Embedded: sRGB IEC61966-2.1

Working: Monitor RGB - Sony Trinitron_Std_D93

Huh.. I'm no photoshop expert at all, just bought it a week ago. But one thing you might try is using curves, go to the blue channel and give it a bit of a steeper graph under that channel. Might even get better results than the camera's profile.

You might try giving slightly higher contrast (steeper graph) in the RGB channel using curves as well.

They look good as they are, i'd just like them to save that way. When I save they end up looking like the one on the right.
