Is anyone running this controller with 150G Raptors?
(I ask for 150G's because the card correctly recognizes 74 and 36G models, but often has problems with 150Gs which I think is the reason for my speed problems).
I'm using the card on A8N32 motherboard with Opty 165. When I connect 4x150G raptors on the on-board nVidia RAID controller I get actual trasnfer speeds of ~300 MB/s (that's like during copy operation, certain tasks achieve > 500MB/s) for real world use (i.e. not Benchmarks).
However, when I connect the drives to the EX8350 the speeds hardly achieve 30 MB/s!
Something is terribly wrong, but I cannot tell what :(
FYI, I have tried the card in the PCI-E x16 slots, as it won't fit in the x4 slot.

GRRRRR :(

well I have a similiar card with the Intel IOP333 XScale I/O processor(Areca card), the Issue is software drivers. Not actual hardware.

How do you mean? What speeds are you getting?

You remembered to install the Raid card drivers right?

No, I installed XP on this disk without any drivers, it is floating in virtual limbo :D (I love sarcasm :D)
Of course, it's the only disk on the system (single RAID)
So what do you mean by "the issue is software drivers"?

I think the issue from reading on www.storagereview.com is that, your particular motherboards x4 slot only actually runs at x1 or something along those lines, theres a decent thread on it on there forums, go suss it out.
