Having a few issues with the controller. 1) I have my DVD Burner on the 975X IDE controller, that's it. 2) I have 3 SATA drives on the 975X controller. 3) I have 2 IDE drives on the JMicron controller.
All 5 HDDs show in BIOS (when I go to HDD Boot menu, but *never* on the first page of the BIOS, where you can configure individual HDD properties--I can either get the three SATA drives or the two IDE drives to show). The two JMicron-connected drives don't show in Windows Installer because I didn't slipstream drivers (so nothing unexpected there). The two Jmicron-connected drivers don't show in XP, before or after the driver install, regardless of the mode I put them in (Basic, AHCI, RAID).
I have tried (literally) every option in BIOS for HDD config (Compatibility and all sub-options, enhanced and all suboptions, and disabled)....the ones that didn't boot (but still showed HDDs, so the RAID and AHCI suboptions), I'd install a new Windows on it, still no bones.
One time I did get an Error 10 (device can not be started or something) on the install of the driver, but it went away after a restart.
