A coworker brought his into me today to take home and fix. It's a d*mn Compaq... Amd though, k6-2 something, I haven't really looked at it yet. You guys think it'll make the deadlines? :rolleyes: If I'm able to fix it, I'm sure I'
ll get him involved.

My point is, it doesn't have to be just you adding more to your farm, but the team grows quicker and larger by recruiting. It's the pyramid effect, I tell two, they each tell two, and so on.... ;):D

Well, after being down for 3 weeks, I'm back. Not only is my main rig back, but I have added.....

XP 2400+ @ 2GHz
XP 2000+ @ 1.66GHz
Celery @ 1.7GHz

Total of 7.53GHz for my farm.....:)

One more coming online in a week, plus an upgrade to a Duron rig, so by the end of the coming week I'll have:

XP1600+@1.7
XP1600+@1.7
XP1600+@1.6
XP1700+@2.0

Upgrading my Linux router/server after that, XP1600+@stock so in two weeks, 8.4 on the farm here. Watch out SPQQKY, comin at ya ;)

2) oc each computer
3) Create more XFs
4) Recruit from every other forum you go to.
5) Put news on front about folding
6) Put whole durn team on beta team. (whoevers willing. I want all the big guns to join)
7) ask all 3dmark benchers, and ocers to join.. even for a while to make us happy.
No joke man really... If we do this just 1 time.. we'll pump production.. Just dont do it with like force.. be nice about it.

Recruiting is a good idea, but we might want to be a little careful on how we go about it. In some other forums I browse, I see rants/moans about how the forum only talks about FOLDING, and how they are sick and tired of it....I know Xtreme is nothing like that at all, and this is the place for serious OC'ers to come. Just wanted to add my 2 bits. :)

what about slightly *pushing* folding teammates to use the F@H counter in their sig to advertise F@H without saying anything. ;)

well, bandwidth costs money and i appreciate the free service the folks at xtreme are providing. so i turned off all the neat-o grapics because i'm here for content.

Jmke stopped folding because of the high power bill, it would cost him ~1500€/$ a year to power all his machines 24/7. I can't blame him. :) His server (900mhz duron :rolleyes: ) is still folding though.

I stopped folding for a month because i blew my one and only rig, but thanks to KS1 i managed to fix it and i'm back on track. :)

we actually have a dedicated link on the front page - should be bigger though- someone make me a folding banner in xtremesystems style and colors and I will work on throwing it up there....
