I couldn't find the thread I was looking for...release date is when?

First week o' August? Second? 3, 4?

(will delete this thread as soon as I find out, sorry for being an annoying nooblet ;))

Specifically the DFI LP UT one...

I haven't heard much either. I will try and follow up with my DFI rep, and when I hear something, I'll let you guys know.

good thing with NVidia, when they announce something, it's in sale the same week. So we might not know when it will come much before it's in store..

Someone posted a link the other day in the news section that had the asus 590 sli, think it was ECS and one other board listed, saying that they were "early aug"

I can pretty safely say they are falling behind. Not sure how far now but I am yet to be delivered something newer than C19XE.

Dell might have it, but i doubt they are shipping anything for a while, aren't they still trying to ship their XPS 700 series to people, after taking orders months ago :slapass: LOL their ship date is: 10/2/2006 i assume it is the 10th month :slapass:

I think thats the SLI-SE. It's an update revision of NForce 4. Not a true 590.

I'm waiting on the DFI one. It looks such a good layout!

any updates? Guesses? Since it looks like the preordes may ship at the end of the week I am about to order a board, if this will be out soon I will wait (1-2 weeks max) otherwise it will be the p5wdh.

It cannot be too long however the BIG QUESTION still remains how the northbridge overclocks and what FSB you can go up to.

If it is a lot smaller than 975 then even if the chipset is faster this is going to crush the E6400-E6700 guys and you will have to get an XE 6800 so you can put the multipliers upwards.

I think it is going to be fast, but that FSB possible limit really worries the heck out of me. Mind you with moddied SLI drivers that might be about then for later nvidia cards and / or Ati AMD merger maybe nvidia will be fine on 975 afterall ?

Interesting times.

Andy

I'm just worried about the memory controller....hopefully it's nothing like the NF4 Intel Edition crap....

Though a chipset that doesn't OC would just be odd....but if that's the case, then we all know which chipset to not buy.
