ok, I thought the e6400's were supposed to have 2mb's of cache, but I was doing some searching and almost all of the preorder sites show them to have 4mb of cache, is this wrong or are they gonna be 4mb cache chips?

They are supposed to be 2MB, not 4MB. If Intel is shipping 4MB ones, I should change my pre-order...

There might have been 4MB ES chips. Someones confused because they don't exist for Retail.

That's a typo.
E6300 & E6400 have 2Mb L2. They are Allendale.
The only E6300 & E6400 w/4Mb L2 were some samples. They were Conroe instead of Allendale due to the 4Mb.

that's what I thought, thought I should check before ordering my 6600, but many sites are listing them like this

and this

I sent tankguys.biz an email about it. Hopefully Intel changed the specification at the last minute. It would mean the difference between a 4MB L2 Cache and a 2MB L2 Cache for me, and I really want the 4MB L2 Cache.

We had it listed as 4mb, because all the distributors did.

which one better for OC E6300 or E6400?
someone told me that E6300 should be more OCable due to lower Multi than E6400. is this true?
thunderstruck!

That's backwards. It's less OCable due to it's lower multi. Get the e6400 instead.

Less cache can make overclocking easier sometimes I think
