Just an opinion, but I doubt 2-3000 woodcrests will out do one kentsfield,
Not from what I've seen so far with a kentsfield on rosetta..It's pulling app 8200 points a day clocked at 3500mhz while a conroe is pulling just under 4000 a day clocked at 3912mhz..
The thing is a monster cruncher!

What voltage did you pump through the cores to get that speed coolaler?
Did you test it for max 1m or 32m?
I didnt expect quad cores to oc that much. Great work!
I guess I wouldnt have the nuts to risk that cpu lol :)

looks like kentsfield has a FSB problem, no wonder i was having problems pushing mine with a 10x multi...i think i will have to do some more experimenting this weekend with 15 or 16x. :)

what about 3Dmark06 cpu score ?
Tyrou covered that in his thread, his max OC was 4.46GHz.
At 4.1GHz, Kentsfield can obtain a 6000+ CPU score in 3dMark06:
http://www.tyrou.net/screens/12856-3d06.png
and 5300+ @ 3.5GHz:

Anyways keep up the great woork Coolaler, I'm looking forward to your work with the x6800 Kentsfield.

Kentsfield sure looks promising, hope the existing Intel/Asus motherboards for Conroe will be able to handle a retail Kentsfield it when it comes out .
