View Full Version : Yet another newb question... regarding Swiftech kit.
http://www.swiftnets.com/store/product_details.asp?ProdID=168
Would this be a good kit for someone just starting off with water cooling? It looks like it has pretty good components and I like the idea of having everything arrive at my house at once. ;)
Also, does this kit look like it would support a TEC on the CPU in place of the block? I'm thinking it does but being such a newb... what do I know. :)

That kit with that radiator will indeed support up to a 226W pelt. I am running that setup, just different swiftech block.
Are you happy with the results? I really want to start down the water cooling path before my supply of cold winter air runs out ;) and this kit seems very decent.

I changed the 2 fans for bigger ones that push more air. I am happy enough to purchase 2 systems. On that pump and fill & bleed kit it is designed to fit in the cdrom bays and it takes up 2 of them. I am not sure what your paying but those parts can be purchased seperatly from xtw, or as a kit.:)

cooling performance of that block is very good, but the retention mechanism on that is quite sucks..
Once that screwe comes off, you are history.. no going back. you may have to buy a new block. chances becoming history = 50%

I have never used that block, I use the MCW462-UH with my own mounting hardware.
