I listened to the Intel Investor Conference Call linked and confirmed for myself: the Kentsfield is coming Q4 2006, pushed up date. The Conroe was explicitly stated to be WIDELY AVAILABLE and fully stocked AT launch. I'm switching my E6600 to an E6400 to save some cash toward Kentsfield :D!

Intel also notified customers that its first quad-core microprocessors for server and desktop systems are ahead of schedule, with shipments expected in the fourth quarter of this year rather than the first half of 2007.
