As you all know bbq propane contains water, which doesn,t make it a perfect refrigant.
I,m going to make a shreader to propane bottle conversion valve just like epsilon, http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=46213
Would it be of any help to place a filter between the propane valve and the shreader?, to reduce the amount of water entering the system.

BBQ Propane contains some Butane too, so its not as good as pure Propane. I think it would be best to use pure propane:) .

You don,t wanna know what pure propane costs here, for the price of pure propane I can get R507 from somewhere else.
My question is, if I place a filter between the shreader to propane bottle conversion valve, will this help to reduce the amount of water and other stuff getting into the system.
And how long would this filter last before its fully contaminated.

Oh right. If you need to use the BBQ stuff then im not sure... A filter probably would work but im not 100% sure.

Interesting idea, you can also use those blue propane cans used in brazing, they're a bit more pure. How are you going to clean the filter though?
