Glad to see you don't have many posts for the amount of time you've been a member.
Coolaler is a gentleman and a top of the line clocker which is more then can be said of someone who puts up a post like you just did. I thought some how I was at the rude and crude forum instead of XS.
Please don't trash up the forum.

nobody has an issue with voicing an opinion or asking questions. However the way you did it was just plain rude, especially when targeted at one of our XIP's.
apparently you do :)
let the man speak, you think it's wrong? report it instead of whining and let the moderators do their job ;)

QUOTE REMOVED.
Well I will try to answer some of it - the point of this test was to break single SuperPI record, not dual - what if it would be run on dual ? Performance would be lower bcs Conroe shares cache between cores, so when only one core is used it can take 4 mb cache for itself, when 2 cores used - each can get 2 mb or so. So yes - Conroe takes performance hit when entering dual core, but I guess all dual cores do. But yes, I agree your questions could be asked in a bit diffrent way

when dual core was brand new people wanted to see what two would do compared to 1 core , now it is old news and besides there are a ton of multiple instances of pi run by coolaler this isn't one of them this is a balls-out
shot at the world record.
my mom taught me if you don't have anything nice to say then stfu.
ps: awesome coolaler and would you mind a double pi run that would be sweet and would settle this nicely.

It worked for my conroe :)
Everyboard can disable one core, check your msconfig then advance, you know what i am talking about;)
but i and Coolaler all tried , no helps at all.
You must disable it in bios, not msconfig. Not sure if they have the same effect but msconfig might not help, bios +~80Mhz :) This, however, might be chip specific but 1 core should go higher than 2

Coolaler, please stop.
I still haven't recomposed myself after the jaw dropping 5.2Ghz round-up of benchmarks.
You gotta give us a little bit more time to take it all in, and for the shock to subside. We're only human ;)

well, I think if you can consecutively overcome the obtacle or the record you set for,
then this would no hurt to let people doing the "kisser job " somehow
unless you are jealous and no idea what you 're doing for;)
That's admiration, not the arse kissing:)

id listen to OPB.. he should certainly know what its like to have many many admirers in some of his threads :toast:
i can see his point though, sometimes it IS annoying to go through threads looking for updates or something when the majority of all the posts are all the same saying good job and what not.

I agree! Congrats!
Ass kissing usually involves wanting something in return for your efforts.
Here, we are just congratulating him on an impressive achievement.. he deserves every bit of it. Its exciting to see what he pulls off. Besides.. what sort of constructive post can you possibly come upwith or want to find from this thread? Its not like this is a help thread, nor was the thread pitched through a question.
Coolaler says : Look, world record! High Mhz!
we say: Awesome! Good job! Keep it up!
makes sense to me.
