I have had this Gfroster XE 1.2 controller for a few months now. Originally it was for a customers unit but then they decided they didn’t want it. So just put it in the cupboard and havnt looked at it since while catching up on other work.
Well I finally got around to trying it in a recent unit and im having troubles getting it installed and running.
I installed it according to the install guide on the gfroster thread.
When I installed it on my pc, when I turned the pc power switch on (that normally connects to the mothor board, but is now connected to the 2 pin wire from the gfroster controller) the gfrsoter controller boots does its thing then goes to a 5min count down timer on the display, but neither the compressor or 12v fan is running yet.
For now I have connected it as per this drawing

except for the wire coming from the PC PSU isn’t connected, don’t under stand why that is needed or its function?
Is connecting this wire a must?
On the connections of the gfroster PCB pin 2 and 3 on board are both physically connected (on circuit board through tracks) and if I put 240v straight to pin3 as well as pin1 and the compressor runs when ever mains lead is connected. I know this happens because wiring it in this fashion bypasses the circuity on the gfroster controller.
Secondly
If I want to just test my controller to make sure its functioning correctly. If I connect the JP1 connector and then short the 2 pin connection as seen here in the red circle

There should be 12vs on the fan pin connector JP2 and the pin 3 if I measure the volts between that and neutral should read 240v correct?
Any help would great thanxs guys.
