Why won't my avatar work?

Hi I' new here, but I have a question.

I tried URLing and uploading my avatar from my computer, but it still says that I have to resize the image so that it is 140 x 140. I've tried the avatar on other forums and it works fine. I have no clue as to how to resize it. Can anyone help me out? If this is the wrong place to place this thread, then I'm sorry and feel free to move it:) .

Do you have any photo editing software? If you do there should be a dropdown menu item that will let you resize it.

Post your avatar in this thread and I will resize it for you if you want. No biggie really

If you want to do it yourself, download this software called IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/), install it, then open your image with IrfanView. Once you've opened it, click on the menu Image>Resize (or you can do Ctrl+R). A new window called Resize/Resample Image should pop up. Tick Preserve Ratio (near the bottom of the window) and set the new Width or Height you desire. In this case, both the Width and Height must be under 140 pixels. Good luck :up:

My avatar is below. If you can resize it, that would be great. Also I'm going to figure out how to resize imgaes in general.

I resized it a bit under the forums rules just to be dial-up friendly (giant avatars aren't too funky). I also tried to use your avatar on my account and every seems to work. Enjoy!
