I would just love to see avideo game that has Ferrari's in it.

None of the games I have ever played have ever contained a single Ferrari.

First on 360, PS3 and you can bet your pennies it'll be out on PC.:)

it will be in all systems... that is for sure... its an EA game

i remember a long time ago when need for speed hot pursuit on PS1 came out, ferrari didn't want to be associated with "running from the police", guess they are still using that stance, somewhat.

having a ferrari wouldve been great in NFWMW

Don't shine your noobism so bright;)

Damage was only recently removed completely when NFS went the ricer route (underground). Can't have teenagers getting hungup on damaging mom's neon.

the only nfs game i can remember playing that had any sort of damage was the one that was about the history of porches.

IV: High Stakes had full damage integration

those are two games in a series of what? 13 games! not including motor city or the psp games, if you want to include motor city then its 3 out of 14 games.

i think that clearly makes my statement that "nfs series normally doesnt have car damage" very true. or maybe you decided to skip past the keyword "normally" so you could call me a noob and attempt to seem more "1337"

Addition is not your strong point, you forgot to include the one you already mentioned. I also didn't include spinoffs to other consoles or re-releases like V-Rally and 5-1-0.

So its 4 games out of 9. Its a programmable technology that arose when the hardware supported it (NFS was the first to include damage models), and ended only when underground was released; which would make the score 4 with, 2 without. :slap:

oh, so you consider motor city a nfs game, but not nfs:v-rally? interesting.

now lets see

did nfs have damage? no
did nfs SE have damage? no
did nfs 2 have damage? no
did nfs 2 SE have damage? no
did nfs v-rally have damage? no
did nfs 3 hot pursuit have damage? no
did nfs high stakes have damage? YES, as this is when they introduced it, 7 titles into the series.
did nfs v-rally 2 have damage? no
did nfs porsche unleashed have damage? YES
did motor city have damage? YES, however this was never officially a nfs series game.
did nfs hot pursuit 2 have damage? YES
did nfs underground have damage? no
did nfs underground 2 have damage? no
did nfs most wanted have damage? no

what about the 2 psp titles, underground rivals and 5-1-0? nope.

so im sure you can add, add those up and see what you get.

its interesting to see how you will just leave out games because you dont consider them part of the nfs series, yet include games that were never officially a nfs game.

so once again, i think my statement that nfs games NORMALLY dont have damage is very correct. now shut your face, because personally, just because YOU dont consider something a certain way, doesnt change what it is.

EDIT: oh, and its nice to see what titles you pick and choose to include. you dont want to include v-rally, or underground 1 and 2, or nfsmw. geez! well lets just only include porsche unleashed, high stakes and hot pursuit 2! hey now look! now 100% of nfs games have damage!

picking and choosing things like this makes it so easy to seem like you have some form of understanding, when really you dont know crap.

Porsche 2000 or unlimited was a cracking NFS game. The car dynamics for all the Porsche's seemed really good. Shame though they do not do a new version of that game. Going through the history of the Porsche mark was fantastic.

That game certainly had damage, you should have seen my late 1970's 3.3 turbo after most runs :p

First reason why new NFS has no damage is that some car makers said "we dont want to see our cars damaged".
Second reason is that it would be a tremendous work to draw every tuning part in at least 10 damage stages for every car.
Third reason is that most of the NFS fans dont like to fix their cars after every race.

Im waiting for this game very much and after watching "The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift" today Im waiting for it even more.

well, NFSMW was almost half and half on the damage

i mean, you're car got minor paint scrapes, but you could have fun wrecking all the police cars on the map

esp cross, nothing like that 75k bounty or whatever it was

yeah, ramming through a road block and watching all the cruisers tumble throught the air was great.

would have been nice for nfsmw to have a mode to turn damage like for the cops card on for the drivers car. would have added much different angle to the game.

that wouldve made those "go through 8 road block/spike strips" near impossible sometimes

and then the rhinos, im kinda glad they didn't do that:)

no, like a mode that are like the challenges that arent part of the story line. would make it more realistic.

but i think they are trying to steer away from realism as they are already getting fire for "promoting reckless driving"

you mean its NOT ok to drive 160 in heavy traffic...ignoring every traffic law and regulation in sight? glad someone told me.

dont these people ever watch the first little opening movie, "keep all your racing in the game, be responsible, seatbelt, etc":p:

The NFS series is an arcade game, no real physics. NFS Porsche Unleased had some depth and research. Also NFS SE had some good dynamics, but that's about it.

If you want real dashes, real physics and absolutely no arcade get GT legends http://www.gt-legends.com. It's for european car fanatics. The physics are so good that a 914 Porsche actually has the famous loose back end when entering turns, spinning out if you do not oversteer.

This is might the first current generation NFS game I don't buy its first week of retail. The Test Drive Unlimited beta is more then keeping me busy (not that anyone has noticed that I've almost completely stopped posting here), and once it hits PC retail...I think I will have found my first MMO to become addicted to.

V rally and V Rally 2 did have damage.
Also NFS III Hot pursuit i *think* (not sure) had damage in "simulation" mode. Again i'm not sure, havn't touched it for.. 5 years lol.

My bet is, you will never get real physics in an NFS series game.
Crappy Name for it too "Carbon" lol. What did EA hire? Imports? lol.
