VGA products almost become the most frequency product line in the PC component parts.
They often refresh the product line in several months very often.

The ATI X1900 Series are the finest performance and spec. on ATI product line this moment.
ATI formal specification with 90nm chipset procedure and finest 48 pixel pipeline design.

This time we got MSI X1900XT here, Core/Memory clock is 625/1450 MHz
The top version is X1900XTX segment, Core/Memory clock is 650/1550 MHz

The MSI X1900XT outlook

As the picture, this is the master card, left side is VHDCI interface, right side is DVI.
You have to get 1 master card to run on CrossFire mode. The normal slave card only have 2 DVI connector.

Main core chip and memory chip.
Use the SAMSUNG DDRIII -11 module, this spec. with the availability up to 1800MHz frequency.

The heatsink design with thermal fan speed control.
Even no noise when work in 2D mode, but some noise when in 3D mode.

ATI usually behind with performance and market share during the recent year.
But almost catch up NVIDIA 7 series when the X1900 series launch, even the
test mark compare on 3D Mark 2006, the ATI comes with better technology
and better test result, hope ATI can keep enhance their products with more
mainstream and entry level segment to beat NVIDIA 7600/7300 series
products. That’s customer’s benefit when 2 companies keep competition in
the market.

Good stuff. Stock numbers are of interest to most people :)

wow. those numbers are surprising...not far off my own with opty 170@3ghz and master @ 688/792, slave @ 675/801(toxic).

Is this due to the 8x8 pci-e config?

What I've been thinking all along.. Conroe won't make a big difference in high-res/high-quality 3D gaming. By high-res/hi-quality, I mean something like 1600x1200/4AA/8AF and beyond.

Thanks for the benches. Have you tried overclocking those cards?

The Conroe is only at 3ghz when it has the realistic potential of 4ghz. I tested my Conroe 6700 ES last night at 3.7ghz on air with X1900 Crossfire at 660/760. I scored 20900 in 3DMark 05. I'd say that this Conroe makes quite the difference in 3D gaming. I'm now able to run BF2 at 1920x1200, 4aa, 4xaf with a nice and steady FPS of 80+. I had no chance of this before with an FX57 at 3.1ghz.

That's a great news to hear. I was somewhat disappointed with the '06 scores. What kind of FPS are you getting in F.E.A.R. @1600x1200?
