First off I would just like to say hello to everyone in these superb forums. :)

I have been browsing these forums for about 3 weeks now and I am hooked.

I am 29 and living in Edinburgh, SCOTLAND. I am a motor vehicle (BMW) technician and spend the little spare time I have messing around with computers and playing CS.

Three weeks ago I had my first dabble into overclocking, water cooled a Pentium D 805 to 4.10GHz. That was me hooked.

I searched google and found this place and perused through some of the systems in here.

I decided to look at gathering all my components together and building myself a new phase change system. I started at the basics, cases. I was browsing overclockers and was going to plumb for a Lian Li V2000. I liked the motherboard upside down idea. It may save my graphics cards. :D

I was browing after getting home tonight and saw Jinu117's thread, SS Worklog (vapoli, UFO, etc). The system looks absolutely amazing. That is what I would love to end up with. Probably a bit ambitious for a first SS build attempt but I am in no rush.

Anyways I hope to have your guys expert advice over the next few months as I embark on my first build.

Keeps up the good work.

Cheers

Leh

Hi Lehmann,

Im C-BuZz. Good luck with your build & im sure everyone here will be more than happy to help.

If it's your first build, I would recommend concerntrating more on a nicely working system rather than asthetics. Once you get the basic principles behind phase change you can then work on asthetics.

Have fun!

ps: I wouldnt post my full name in a public forum if I where you. Ya never know who's reading :D

Welcome to the club, hope your first build goes well. Just ask a ton of questions before you start buying stuff. Read the stickies and you'll be ready to rock and roll in no time.

Hi I am Scott:welcome:
This is a great bunch of people with a wealth of knowledge and hands on experience. Just one thing to help out all n00bs to this forum is use the search area before asking questions. Most of everything has been beaten to death and some get tired of saying the same thing over and over and :slapass: if you ask.
Welcome to the best forum on the net!
And welcome to the expensive and time consuming world of OCing.
