I just unlocked my CPU using a strand of IDE wire across two points on my cpu socket (see this post (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?postid=60454#post60454))

Im running a MSI K7N2 motherboard, 2x256mb PC2700 PQI ram (yeah i know its not great :() ...

and she posts at 10x, 11x 166fsb but wont show nothing at 12.5x (which is what i was hoping to reach)

I dont have the best cooling system, but its not even getting a chance to heat up!

It can get into windows on 10x166, and is stable, but at 11x166 it keeps locking up while windows is booting up or shortly after

I tried fiddling with some memory settings etc ... but i dont really know what im doing :I

Any advice?????

Thank you

NinetySix, WELCOME TO XTREME!!!

to help you more efficeintly, could you provide your full system specs?

my first guess would be cooling, but it could also be voltage.
