Some people are calling this a hoax since the 3rd video doesn't make sense from a camo point of view, unless the camera used is place behind the guys head.

The 2nd video is just wild! You would really think that it would be more sophisticated looking than a ghetto raincoat though ;) hehe
yea itsthe same trick that abott and costello used to make they're ghosts look like they only had head and hands. only this time ints in color not black n white.

No, this is using cameras and a projector, the projector is projecting at the jacket.
hm interesting. what kind of projector do they use? a regular one?
after all it doesn't look that sophisticated and all. it's a nice gimmick,
hardly anything more than that though. you still see all the creases
in the cloth and all and besides that, the colors look way off.
regarding the 3rd video, you could do it with a prerecorded image,
which would be besides the point. also using a projector and a
camera wouldn't be what a camouflage jacket should be about. i'd
have imagined something more like a jacket made of ccd's and light-
emitting particles combined into one. the biggest issue then would
probably be the interconnecting the ccd/emitters with a central
processing unit that would have to decide what ccd feeds what
light emitting particle at any given time... creases in the cloth and
all...

From what I understand there are two ways to do this for real. Have a camera on one side of an object pointing out and on the other side of the object the object itself would be the screen showing in real time what is on the other side of the object giving the illusion of transparency. That kind of tech has been around awhile. The more advanced way of doing it is using thousands or millions of nanotubes as really small fiber optics to actually bend light around the object, that is the ultimate goal to really refine that version of technology and you can make almost anything semi-invisible. The military is working on it as we speak. I would expect to see widespread military use of it in maybe 5-10yrs and civilian availability closer to 20+yrs, but that's just a guess. All I know is I want a hodded trenchcoat like that! And maybe a really fast sports car like that, lol!
