I'm sure this has been posted a million times before but can't find the right thread.

I got the compat info from this site for this CPU block. Is this block incompatible with the Intel 965 boards?

http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/swstunhipebl.html

* socket 478 (Intel® Pentium® 4),
* socket 775 (Pentium® 4 "Prescott"),
* socket 603/604 (Intel® Xeon™ - 400 & 533 Mhz FSB),
* socket 462 (AMD® Athlon®, Duron®, MP, XP),
* socket 754, 939, 940 (AMD® 64 bit processors).

Sorry to all the vets who may have answered this before in another thread. :confused:

It works with socket 775. New boards, same old socket.

However, you do have to make sure the block will clear any heatsinks and capacitors around the socket. At this point, nobody knows for sure. I know on the Bad Axe I have to mount the block horizontally or it won't fit.
