As I grumbled to work today in my 1991 Lumina that leaks oil like a mother and overheats as the radiator is bad, that my computer is worth far more than it. Hell, I could sell my 7900gt for the same price as my car.
Haha, the funny part is I don't hesitate to plan on spending $500 upgrading components for my pc, but the second I have to blow $150 for a radiator, it seems like a waste of money.
So, my question to you Xtremesystems, is your Car worth more than your Rig?

Depends on the rig, AND the car. :D
98 Nissan Sentra GXE - at this point, the rigs. Ton of stuff breaking all at once.
'55 Bel-Air - Hah. No comparison.
And who says you can't overclock a car? It just cost alot more. :D

Well, it's a teaser question. I voted for my car is older.... but still worth more but I can OC my vehicle... not with phase...per se. But it is WATER COOLED! lol

My rigs far outprice my ride, but for the once or twice a month I drive it's not all that bad. As much as I love nice cars, I just can't justify the $5-$6k or so per year I'd pay in comp/collision/theft insurance for a mediocre $20-$25k car that has such a great chance of gettin stolen. I'd have so much more fun w/ a conroe right now rather than dealing w/ this heat humidity and nyc summer/beach traffic.

lol, I remember when Alienware released their ALX systems, it was commonly compared to the Porsche 944. You can pick up a used one for around 5k, but the ALX systems could easily be configured to touch 8-9k.

No car so my puny little rig is worth more then it. Now my race car on the other hand probably beats most peoples rigs in here and thats with the old motor laying in the shop.

My car is a corean P.O.S.
I chiptuned my car way back in 2000.
It was very expensive and absolutely 'not done' at that time :-) LOL
Later i started modding computers and overclocking

Well I planned on saving for my first car at the end of the year but I only have £200 left after splashing a few hundred on rigs so it's computers > car. O' well my sisters Citroen AX 0.9l will have to do :p:

Lol even the CD player in the car is worth more than the car alone with full tank. :fact:

Big tires or really hihg performance tires? What make and model is your truck?

On the other hand, I have fingers.

I'd say car.

1998 chysler cirrus 101k miles with stolen hubcaps, broken AC, and no cd player
VS.
the rig in my sig plus the audio gear....
No contest.
But I don't really care seeing how I'm only 17 and cars aren't allowed when you're a freshman at most of the colleges I'm looking into. Not like I'll have time for a life anyway (piano performance major)

Mickey Thompson MTZ 285/75/16's (just barely under 33's if thats your style of measurement) on '94 GMC YukonGT with 302,000km.
I could have gone with Coopers, but it was only ~$15 extra per tire for the MTZ's.... with family discount :toast:
Hmm... I only have one vehicle worth less than my DFI/Opteron rig and it was a freebie '92 GEO Metro.
'70 BSA Thunderbolt 650 13k miles $3500+
'91 Mazda MX5 Miata 45k miles $6500+
'92 GEO Metro exceeds odometer :D maybe $200 after $300 is put into it.

The fastest rig is ~$3500. My main car is ~$45000. All my rigs/benching equipment total ~$20000. I have two total cars totalling about $55000. Its funny to think now that my first computer was a secondhand build using parts picked out of old machines and I invested a whopping $200 of my money. (Ahh, I saved up a long time for that I remember :) ) My first car cost $600.

my computer is way more valuable
i dont have a car so i'm comparing my computer to someone i know's cars [18] which the prices range from 49cents to $100 [that person is a car mechanic and gets deals on crapped out cars [although the 49 cent suburban is better than most]
