im thinking of getting this cpu block for my dual core, is this the best on the market or is there better?

the reason i was looking at this one was im on 3/8 tubing and 400l/hr pump, i know its a rubbish pump but thats all i could afford at that moment and id rather keep it for a bit.

The normal NexXxos XP is a little bit better, but all of them need a strong pump to work efficiently.

It isn't better than the Storm, but you can't go wrong with it. And it's pretty cheap too.

With a really weak pump, it at least outperforms a MP-05 (the normal XP at least does).

Very nice block! In my opinion go for the normal one.

Well : nexXxos XP and Bold are only different on one point : Bold has 1 more layer in pure copper. (Actually : number of layers are the same on both, but middle layer of nexXxos is silver colored whereas Bold is pure copper).
You can actually switch them around between the two (layout is the same) but it doesn't make that much of a difference (at least I couldn' measure it). Theoretically Bold is the better one, but with the nexXxos you can change clips and thus use it on different sockets.

Not exactly. XP has a nickel plated copper mid plate, bold simply doesn't have the nickel on it.
Normal XP has the better hold down as it puts more pressure on the die.

Well yeah, that's what I meant. But isn't pure copper better than nickel plated ?
You're absolutely right about the hold down though :)
