The babies, (the other one is for another member at techsweden)
http://server.t01.kriller.se/p5w/P1010061M.jpg

Setup:

Asus P5W DH Deluxe
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 ES
OCZ 2x512 800Mhz Gold (ev. Platinum XTC 1ghz later on)
nVidia 7900GTX (Thx for lending me this Kinc)
Tagan 580W-U22
Seagate 7200.10 SATA-II

Stock.

stock: (3d01-profile)
3dMark01: 37952
3dMark03: 24463
3dMark05: 11023

Time to put on a bigger fan on the Intel stock-cooler (alu-core)

http://server.t01.kriller.se/p5w/P7030003m.jpg
http://server.t01.kriller.se/p5w/P7030008m.jpg

~28-30 degrees celcius in my room atm.

377x9, 710/850 = 52 610 in 3dMark01
mem @ 377 5-5-5-15 =) and no optimizations at all.

Then I flashed to 0078

420*9 -> 13,672sec

Comp hang before I could open cpu-z

I haveto get a better cooler really soon, it will be a loooong day at work tomorrow.

Well, going from 21 seg to 13 is a big difference when overclocking right?

Keep going.

can you please tell until which clock it was rockstable(like prime 24/7) with stock cooler ? maybe 3, maybe 3,5ghz ?

as i want to use the stock before getting water, this would be intresting for me...

Any maxFSB with the P5W DH?? I am getting mine this Friday and want to know it... :stick:
BTW, great bump, from 21 to 13 secs...

Nah, my cooling isn't enough to max out the board, I couldn't get proper contact with my gpu-block either, new cpu-block is on it's way... I have been up at 430, but then the cpu was too hot.

realsmasher: nah, that cooler sucks alot, so I will not even bother, I would guess like 3,3ghz @ 24h dual prime...

Holy blimey! 13 second 1mb SP on aircooling? ROFL! These new CPU's are just getting crazier and crazier. Wasn't it just a few months ago we were all laughing about how it would be a long long time before we could pull off sub 10 second super pi's? Haha, this is great. Get a DICE tube on there and join the <10s club! :)

Wow...13" at superpi with air cooling is very incredible!

Nice try...:)

I was very impressed by 9x366 @ stock vcore. :) 15,6sec in 1M.

I think that 9x377 worked on stock vcore too.

9x420 was at 1,33volts :slobber:

That's a sweet, sweet site! This will MAKE me build another system, I just know it, bah! lol

With this new chilly1 cascade coming in, Conroe may definately be the answer for it :)

that sounds good. even 3 ghz would be enough for me(don't want to risk too much ;) )

thx for info :)

you happy my friend?lol
get it on the 3.85g if you can for 1.50v;)

The cooler can't handle that :)

With water 1,5 should not be a problem, now 3,82 @ ~1,4v freezes becasue it's 70+ degrees

high performance is one side, paying for destroyed hardware another.

that's why i'm going for a no risk system(3,0-max 3,5 ghz) for at least on year and then get water when a destroyed cpu won't cost my whole life.

an 6600 for 350$(€) is like 6 month of saving money for me.

or do you all think there is no risk at all driving a system at 3,8ghz @ air 24/7 ? i think it is.

anyway, let's get back to topic. my situation is not interesting in this thread

sold my tube a while ago :/

did some tests @ 3,6 to se what a possible 24/7 clock would perform, and ofcourse, keep the temp down :) It's hot in sweden atm.

Clock rate does not kill chips. Its voltage and heat. Even with voltage 10-20% higher it would not be too bad if the heat was kept under control. I wouldn't want more than 60-65C 24/7 on air or since I'm on water in the 40's for max temp.

Wow. That voltage is probably higher than I'll run my 6600 at 24/7, but still, loving the results on the Zalman 9500 :)

I just may put down some money for a new Zalman. Seeing more than one happy overclock with them.

Some things I have discovered:

Mobo stops at 440, just dies after that.
Mems clock bad (440, but only 420 at high-cpu mhz).
The temp is high even with water when the cpu developes 179watts. :P
I got to little time during the summer for computers :(
And i miss the 10th multipple.
