Hi

I am planning in investing into a new watercooling system.
I was looking at the MCW5000 for AMD. The question is : when the Opteron (K8) comes out - will I have to buy a new waterblock? or just a new retention mechanism?
Swiftnets.com has something under model number MCW5000-A64 - but I couldnt understand if its an upgrade mechanism or a whole different waterblock

Cheers :toast:

Static it seems pretty clear to me, quoted directly from Swiftech:

"MCW5000-A64™ Upgrade path: Future compatibility with upcoming Athlon® 64 processors retention mechanism by simply changing the retention frame"
