Just got blown away by the performance of a single 79050GX2 with 1.5V on all air. 21k is not too shabby imo.
The cores are overl:banana::banana::banana::banana:ing very nicely - next week time to put some watercooling on the cores!
With a COnore @ 4.8GHZ I can easily around 25k with this setup - Dual 7950GX2s could also give some interesting results...

Why are my dual 7900 GTs at much higher clocks and a higher clocked conroe getting only ~21300?

Aww, Whats wrong geek, not liking being beaten by a single card  But yeah, it odd that your cards scored lower @ such high clocks. Try optimizing and tweeking :p: Could be the Ram.

actually the air was after a period of cooldown. under load I am in the low 70C range. Giving a little additional spacing between the 2 cards helps a little! Just put some spacers in the rear under the screws.
I also had to lower clocks for the Screenshot cuase I got really fuzzy :D Benched clocks were 740/810 and HIGHLY tweaked.
I imagine once I pu the watercoolers on - with maybe chilled water much more might be available from the core.
Memory voltage should be the most important mod

very nice results.
which size have the spacers? can you take a picture of them and your air cooling?
thanks

Nice score, looks like that 7950GX2 is a good clocker:toast:

Great scores on the single GX2. Just need to get quad SLI working for some real entertainment. :D

tbh my best guess would have to be with that in essence they are 2 GTX's and you have 512mb of memory (total) hes got a whole gig, im sure that has to effect the score SOME way.. but he also said his was HIGHLY tweaked so
can't wait to possible seem some quad SLI from ya mike, hopefully you can get some decent drivers (hacked or WHQL) that would make it work to some extent

Wish I could go for Quad...sure would be fun...
For now I am still trying to figure out best LOD settings for 01 and 03...
Here more results with 715/800 on core and memory on the Conore @ 3.78GHZ:

nothing like adjusting that LOD to where 1/2 the screen is blank and you scores are high as a kite just for a great artifical benchmark # :(

LOL
I hear ya - I totally agree with the annoyance of LOD and I'd rather have have this to be an unavail option - but the way things are -you're foreced to utilize these settings in a "Max score" run - to be competive with the next guy who is using these LODs...
I had --- even ATI benching is utilizing LOD tweaks....
BUT to soothen your worries - the best LOD setting for 05 that I found isn't anything near to what you describe - but then myLOD might be way off.......
Looking foward t hear some suggestions frm all you NV gurus1

changing the subject slightly does the 7950 come with the connector to connect a second 7950 for quad as with sli the connector generally comes with the motherboard

it has a place to connect bridge on the top card of each 7950. The bridge comes with the motherboard still

Nice job, Mike.
I will be testing one of those too, as well as X1900 Crossfire when I finally get my Conroe. They are great cards.
I don't think I am going to bother with quad SLi being as I game at 1600x.
