Users of new revision DDC pump please help

Hi guys how so I tell which version of the pump I received? Rev2 states 18watts or something?

how about just looking at the pump from the outside? My friend ordered two from DD and it looks like its the 10watt version when DD site states its the revision and even on the pic it says 18w. I think DD sent old stock.

Well, let's see here... just got a few from DangerDen... box says 12V, .9A, 11.0W... but the pump itself says that it's a DDC-2TPMP and it has the rust-orange-red impeller...and they sell it as the DDC Rev2 "Plus". Interesting....and odd. I'm somewhat surprised that I didn't notice that earlier...

So is it the 18w version? I think thats the exact information on the two pumps I received. The label is different than the pic from DD's site. Mine also says 10w. Clearly it says 18watt on their pic.

just look at the impellor, thats the one definitive way to figure it out

The outside of the pump has a small silver label that has a UPC

while have not opened mine and checked color of impellor(got mine from same person as RedSky)

I was worried based on cost DD was selling 10w version with the wrong the data being advertisied

Just call them they supposedly have fantastic CS and will get this fixed I am sure

Sounds to me if the label says 10w you got the non Ultra/Plus version of the pump

I am not sure they sent old stock..there are 2 version of the pump..10w and 18w.

I think they put up the wrong specs and have not realized it

I know..I almost got one but was concerned it cost only $75..interesting thing is my pump has a silver label...not white lettering/numbers

I think what happens sucks in a big way..if nothing else they should refund all your money plus pay return shipping as they provided the wrong item as per spec and ad

well you could do a chargeback since they provide the wrong product based on AD....

bummer dude ,call them in the morning and explane what happened talk to cathy (saw your post on their web site) and i'm sure they will give you joy

i have delt with d.d on numerous occations and have all good to say about them

Danger Den are good people and Kathy is very helpful. Give them a chance to make it right before blasting them, mistakes do happen and with their volume it is to be expected for something to slip through the cracks every now and then. It is what they do about it that makes a company's reputation. JMO

Its always tricky to distinguish when they make a major revision but the pump looks the same and has a similar name. An ebay seller made the same mistake with me (will work out fairly costly for him), we are just sorting my refund.

gave me the wrong top on my tdx and just about delivered the complete new block to my door step

What's all this about Rev2 pumps ?? I just got my DCC+ Plus and while it doesn't say Rev2 anywhere, it is 18W and has a RED impeller ....

But I've never heard anything about a Rev2 DCC+ before, what's changed ?

did'nt think you would "blast " them and they are very good at giving you what you paid for and then some

situman, did you take the top off to check the impeller color. Everything i have heard points to the orange impeller being 18w version. I even got 2 orange impeller versions way (months) before mention of a new rev and they are the 18w version, so you should just check the impeller color.

why would taking the top off void the warranty? As long as you dont run it dry you arent doing anything wrong. And if its the red/orange impeller you might be just wasting your time and already have an 18watt version.

correct, it is regular mainenence to take off the top to clean it, the warranty will not be voided by taking the top off.

you have the 18w version if the impeller is orange/red..besides Radiical I doubt would make an error

let me finish my work in a few hours time and i will do that. :)

Design wise, it is quite similar to stock DDC top but inlet/outlet are 1/2" diameter all the way down to impeller.
