My GPU mousepots and C3's don't arrive till Tuesday so last night I tried some SLI on
the P5W DH with the 7900 GTX on air w/ Stock cooler and NO mods.
E6700ES B0 clocked at a conservative 4200mhz under ice.
Not bad for a start.
CPU: Intel Conroe E6700 ES QLLO B0 w/ Mousepot
Vcore: 1.65
Memory: OCZ PC2-8000 XTC 2gb
PSU: Powerstream 600w
GFX: Stock XFX 7900GTX x 2
Mobo: Asus P5W DH Deluxe unmodded

Nice :D Gotta love the basement setup. Why don't you insulate the mobo aroung socket? Don't want to bother with all the caps?

Denny, no cold boot problems at all. Using 0065. I didn't try any other bios but at -70C no problems booting up. :)
Vdroop is pretty bad on my board though... need to put in droop mod... :)

Here's some fodder for you my friend. CPU very relaxed on a Mach II unmodded, cards on air. Conroes sure know how to lay the smack on this 5 year old benchmark. :p:

Yup and it was a day after I had already dried the board out and went back to air. Ran a few 32m's on air and shut down the system but didn't turn the psu off... in the morning it was like that so the pcb was obviously still damp. :( Oh well things like that happen....
dam dude that sucks. I feel bad for ya.

No worries... when we go extreme things like that happen. It's all part of the game. :D

Good attitude Tario :). As long as you don't repeat the same mistakes and get wiser from them. Nice work with the conroe/gtx :toast:. Keep pushin.
